It’s a jaw dropper.
Earlier this month, a 21-year-old college student caught a huge shark nearly 400 pounds off Long Island Beach.
In Manhasset, New York, a resident of TJ Minutillo has thrown a net of robbers out of the sea to attract a nearly 8-foot-long bull shark to Nickerson Beach, he told The Post on Wednesday.
He said he quickly released his big catch, first reported by the Southwest Dutchess Daily Voice.
Fishing for large game is a “big time hobby” for a student of Minutillo, Clemson University, South Carolina.
He said he started fishing when he was three years old and believes he has caught about 300 sand sharks, which are smaller and mostly harmless.
The news that a great white shark was spotted at Atlantic City, NJ on Tuesday ̵1; although three more sharks were spotted in the oceans at Jones, Long and Atlantic beaches in Long Island – was “really cool” to hear from a passionate fisherman.
“I’ve always been fascinated by the ocean in general, so I think it’s a lot of fun to see them around,” he told The Post about the great white.

But “it can be a little disturbing when you face a situation like a Maine woman,” he added, referring to an attack that killed a New York woman.
