Recent documentation from Apple confirms that the new MacBook is on its way. The question now is whether the geekerati should be ready to agree on an existing laptop or get excited about the first Mac with an ARM processor.
New information – Apple has announced to the authorities in China (3C) and Denmark (UL Demko) about a new device with a 49.9-watt-hour battery. The important thing is that the trademark owner is listed as Apple.
While not saying “this is a new MacBook, you can extract from the data provided here and the currently released Apple hardware and get an answer. Chances Miller goes to Columbus:
“The 4,380 mAh battery in this case is relatively small compared to a Mac, but it can be used with a MacBook Air. For example, the 16-inch MacBook Pro has a battery with a capacity of more than 8,000 mAh. The 13-inch MacBook Air has a battery capacity of approximately 5,100 mAh. The power listed here is also interesting. The figures show that the Mac in question has exactly the same 49.9-watt-hour battery as the 13-inch MacBook Air and is smaller than the 13-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro. “
The most impressive answer is also the easiest answer (“another MacBook Air is coming). Not that we regularly update a respectable series of ultrabook books, as it did four months ago. But if it’s a lightweight MacOS laptop, it shows up when Apple’s Intel-developed portfolio is almost up to date.
In that case, the suspicion shifts from the Intel line to Apple’s new adventures with MacOS ARM. Developers currently have access to Mac mini-style developer transition kits that can be borrowed from Apple, but the first consumer MacOS device on the ARM is expected to be a laptop and will be released here later this year.
Could this be the first ARM laptop? This makes more sense than the March redesign of the MacBook Air. A lower battery capacity may mean that the machine is smaller than the current Air. Tim Cook and his team may decide that she does not want to disturb the current market balance in any way; this means that the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro brands will not be pushed to the forefront of the ARM revolution.
In that case, we could watch the return of one moniker. The new and revolutionary MacBook can be just a MacBook.
