Earlier that month on CNU̵7;s New Day, Fauci, 79, was asked who would like to play him on Saturday Night Live, to which Fauci replied, “Brad Pitt, of course.”
“I think he did very well,” he said. “I mean, I’m a big fan of Brad Pitt, and that’s why people ask me what I like to play, I mention Brad Pitt because he’s one of my favorite actors. I think he did a great job.”
With the appearance of Fauci, Pitt briefly broke down to pass the message to a real-life doctor and immunologist and other health care professionals who were in charge of handling the country’s pandemic.
“And to the true doctor, Fauci, thank you for your peace and clarity at this tireless time,” Pitt said. “And thank you to the medical staff, first aiders and their families for being on the front line.”
