When we last reported The Comey rule, a future showtime ministry based on the former FBI director James ComeyThe best-selling book has been the subject of debate over its release date. Writer / director Billy Ray sent a condolence email letter to its participants demanding that the show be broadcast by 2020. election days. Now it looks like he got his wish because The Comey rule there is now an official release date before election day and the first trailer.
Jeff Daniels stars like Comey, who seems to be increasingly concerned about integrity. Brendan Gleeson stars like President Donald Trump, and while the trailer only gives us glances and catches Gleeson’s creations, his voice and physical presence feel exactly exaggerated. The rest of the star ̵1; decorated group of actors includes people like Holly Hunter, Scoot McNairy, Jonathan Banks, Amy Seimetz, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Brian d’Arcy James, TR knight, Joe Lo Truglio, and much more.
Just from a purely artistic point of view, I’m not sure we’re getting the best political film works when they’re so close to what’s really going on (see. Oliver Stone‘s W.). In this case, Trump didn’t even finish his first term, and we’ve already fictionalized his first term. How can we know what this means in a broader context so that we know what to say about it? Again, Trump’s presidency knows no precedent, and Ray’s goal of making urgent active films is obvious and contagious. The trailer gives me shades of popcorn-political thrillers of the sixties and shades of “maestro of important people who say everything understands quickly”. Aaron Sorkin. By the way, All the men of the President was released only two years after President Nixon’s resignation. I’ll be watching this thing – and I imagine Ray expects there to be a lot of potential voters as well.

Based on Comey’s New York Times bestseller The Greater Loyalty and more than a year of additional interviews with many CEOs, THE RULES OF COMMAND is an engaging, behind-the-scenes story about the historically turbulent events surrounding 2016. presidential elections and their consequences that divided the nation. THE RULE OF COMMUNITY is not the biography of one person, but instead is the narrative of two powerful characters, Comey and Trump, whose astonishingly different personalities, ethics, and loyalty pose a path for them to collide.
