EL PASO, Texas (KVIA). The El Paso Department of Public Health announced seven viral deaths and 337 new cases on Friday morning.
266 people are now dying.
The Department of Health said the age of the victims ranged from 70 to 90 years. They included three men in their 70s, two women in their 80s and two in their 90s.
Officials indicated that only one of the victims did not have a medical condition.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been 14,276 confirmed cases in El Paso County. For the first time in five days, the number of active cases increased. It is now 3,311, up from 3,204 on Thursday.
The Department of Public Health has not yet published an updated recovery number.
The number of hospitalizations in hospitals fell 15 from 279 to 264. The number of ICU patients fell from 104 to 100. However, the number of patients using ventilators rose to 54, an all-time record.
