We first looked at Elon Musko’s personal Tesla Model S with a new color prototype, which will probably be possible thanks to the new paint shop.
Last year, Elonas Muskas talked about Tesla building “the most advanced paint store” Gigafactory Berlin.
The CEO talked about the new multilayer paints:
“Giga Berlin will have the world’s most modern paint shop, with more stunning colors that subtly change with curvature.“
Musk said Tesla is developing a new “deep red red” that is becoming his favorite feature.
A special color Tesla Model S has now been spotted in the executive parking lot of the SpaceX headquarters:
This has led people to speculate that the Model S is his personal “musk” Tesla and that the color may be a new “deep red”.
The CEO confirmed that Tesla is developing a “color prototype” at the new paint store.
It’s been a while since Tesla introduced new color options.
On the contrary, in recent years, Tesla has reduced its choice of colors to simplify its production and simplify service repairs.
We may have to wait a bit before we see the new colors, even though Musk has linked them to Gigafactory berlin, which takes place online.
Tesla is currently building Gigafactory Berlin in Germany, and production is expected to be completed by 2021. Summer to produce the Y model for the first time.
Musk says the new paint shop and colors will adapt it to other vehicles, but it may take time:
Sure, over time, Fremont and Shanghai will also be upgraded, but it’s hard to improve on these improvements in an existing paint shop.
As we recently announced, Tesla has built a new Model 3 paint shop in Fremonte and plans to renovate its former paint shop as production of the Model Y increases.
Unfortunately, the photos are in the shade and we don’t look very much at the color.
From what I see, it’s similar to the “signature red” Tesla had for early S-model vehicles, but it looks a little darker.
Again, this is hard to say because of the shadow.
Elon also said the color changes with light, so I’ll start judging her until we look better.
