SEATTLE – Delta flight from Orange County, California, to Seattle on Wednesday afternoon, headed for Reno, after experiencing severe turbulence, according to Compass Airlines spokesman.
Five people were reported to have been injured on board during the flight. According to the rapporteur, two patients and one flight attendant were taken to hospital. The extent of their injuries is currently unclear
The rapporteur said that the aircraft had landed safely and that Delta provided funds to support passengers. Passengers are expected to arrive in Seattle at 17:00. Wednesday for the next flight.
"We are emergency aircraft, a lot of injuries, we do not have much injuries, I understand that we have two planes that may be incapable of working with several passengers," the pilot said, recording traffic in the air.
Joe Justice recorded a video in a plane after turbulence.
"Crazy turbulence and injuries, but the Delta crew handled it perfectly, even during an emergency landing," the judge tweeted.
The Compass Air Flight 5763 operated as Delta Flight 5763.
