Norwell will have at least four shots to get one in 2020. If, of course, there will be a season. I think we all understand this just because there is a schedule, that doesn’t mean all of these games will actually be played. We still have ways to move forward.
But what happened on Wednesday was a positive step.
First of all: we know exactly what the plan is. It looks like Pac-12 and Big Ten only posted conference announcements a year ago, and we’ve all started to wonder what the ACC is waiting for.
Well, now we know.
Notre Dame is locked. We have a 10 plus 1 model that should – should! – Includes year-end Florida State and Florida games, as well as Clemson-South Carolina, Georgia-Georgia Tech and Louisville-Kentucky games.
“We are pleased with the plan we have adopted for ACC fall sports,” David Coburn, director of athletics at FSU, said Wednesday night. “The plan to play an 11 – game football schedule and, in our case, accommodation, our long – running game against Florida is very positive, but we regret that we will have to cancel non – conference games (Boise State, West Virginia and Samford) that we worked hard to plan.
