How to use Google Maps to save your parking space

We were all there: you build your car on a random street or in an unrecorded garage and go to your business. Then, after an hour or two, you will find yourself without a wandering reminder of where you left your car. Your smartphone can help you find your car's parking space – or another location. All you have to do is create a mapping program that you probably already use for navigation.

Open Google Maps on your iOS or Android device and get ready to find a way to save space

iPhone [19659005] Google Maps iOS is really easy to save your parking , although the related options are somewhat limited compared to Android.

To get started:

  • Tap the blue dot on the map that reflects your current location
  • Select "Set as parking location" in the selected menu
  • To send something else, look for the "Saved parking" button in the Maps interface at the bottom. (If you don't see the bar, tap once anywhere on the screen to display it.)

When you're ready to find your place:

  • Tap the "Parking" button on the "Parking" bar to show Maps step by step back to your place, or tap the Start button in the same area to start navigating navigation
  • Tap the "Clear" button to remove the saved location, or tap the "Share" button to send another link to the location

Maps can also provide messages when you save a parking space. To activate them:

  • Touch the three-row menu icon in the top right corner of the program
  • Tap the gear icon and scroll down until you see "Messages"
  • . Switching to "saved parking spaces" is on. (May be prompted to allow the program to submit messages first.)

on Android

The process of saving car parking on Google Maps is similar to the iOS, but with some convenient additional features

To get started:

  • Tap the blue dot on the map that reflects your current location
  • Select "Save your car" screen
  • If you want to send another link to location, tap the "Share" command on the "Car Space" bar at the bottom of the Map Interface

Now if you want to add more information:

  • Tap or swipe up in the Parking area bar at the bottom of the Maps interface
  • Tap the line Save notes to save information, such as on-site vi
  • Tap the box next to "Add photos" to quickly display an image that will help you find your page hicle later
  • Tap the line "Time left" to set a specific time for your car to end Parking. Then your phone will have a constant map message (so you can just touch it to find a car).

When you are ready to find your place:

  • Look for "Parking space" in the bar at the bottom of the Google Map interface, or swipe down at the top of the screen and look for the "Parking Space" message
  • Tap the Directions button then swipe up to see step by step in the bar at the bottom of the screen, or tap the "Start" button to start a controlled navigation
  • To remove the saved location, tap the Clear button

Please note that in the case of Android you will automatically be notified automatically about your car. To reject, you can drag a message like any other Android message. If you do not want to receive these messages, you can completely disable them:

  • Go to Map Settings (top left three-line menu icon)
  • Click "Messages" and then "People and Places"
  • Search for "Saved car parking and turn it off

Remember, Maps allows you to save only one parking space at a time, so if you try to save seconds when one is already protected, the new location will overwrite your original .
