Former Vice President Joe Biden, a Democratic presidential candidate, is not winning a single vote with sports fans these days.
On Tuesday, Biden was asked about sports leagues, especially the NFL and MLB, trying to play their seasons during the coronavirus pandemic.
“It seems to me that this is unlikely to happen, based on what the leagues themselves say,” Biden told the Washington Post.

In support of his support, Biden mentioned the Miami Marlins, who are facing an outbreak of COVID-19. I mean, Marlin says, “We can’t do that.” So I think they should just follow science. “
Much like the NBA, NHL and MLS do, Biden is in favor of putting teams in a bubble, suggesting that leagues will face coronavirus problems unless they are “arrested in one place.”
The NFL is opening a training camp this week and in 2020. Going to play the entire 16-game season. Major League Baseball has shortened its season to 60 games and not all clubs may play that much. Marlin quarantines at least Sunday after 17 club members test positive for coronavirus.
As a result, five clubs were forced to change schedules, including the New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, Baltimore Orioles, and Washington Nationals.
On Tuesday, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases dr. Anthony Fauci said he believed the COVID-19 outbreak in Marlin could lead to End of season. His warning came on Tuesday with Good Morning in America. For ESPN:
“It could be dangerous,” said Fauci, the country’s leading infectious disease expert. “I don’t believe they have to stop, but we just have to follow it and watch what happens to the other teams every day.”
