A 14-year-old girl was murdered with a machete and baseball bat, when members of the MS-13 gang joined an associate with "very violent behavior," said Maryland police.

On Thursday, police ordered Josue Fuentes-Ponce, 16, from Bladensburg, Md., Joel Escobar, 17, from Northeast Washington; and Cynthia Hernandez-Nucamendi, 14, from Lothian, Md. with murder. Everyone was charged as adults.

The next day, Funes-Diaz was driven to a wooded area and killed, said Reilly.
"These are not two gangs fighting each other," said Reilly. "This is a gang that turned to itself, turned the associate into a very violent behavior."
