Regis Philbin is buried at the University of Notre Dame



Regis Philbino’s family reveals that he is now buried at the University of Notre Dame after a private funeral in the Sacred Heart Basilica

Regis Philbin, who died last week at the age of 88, was buried at Notre Dame University, his name and surname.

The host of the television was shut down after private funeral services at the university, a school spokesman said.

The commemoration of Philbin took place in the Sacred Heart Basilica of the school. He was buried in the Cedar Grove Cemetery on campus.

“The Philbine family wanted to return Regis to a place he loved so much for funerals and burials,” Dennis Brown said in a press release.

“It happened on Wednesday, and he is now resting in peace at Notre Dame.”

A brilliant television host and personality in 1953. He graduated from Catholic University and was an enthusiastic alumni.

He frequently returned to South Bend, an Indiana town during football games, rallies, banquets, concerts and other events, the South Bend Tribune reported.

2001 The host of Live With Regis And Kathy Lee gave 2.75 million. Dollar School to build the Philbin Studio Theater.

Located in the DeBartolo Center for the Performing Arts, the black box space was dedicated to laboratory and performance art.

In a statement this week, school president John Jenkins praised Philbin for his dedication to the school.

“Over the years, Reg has flown millions of planes millions of times, and viewers have often shared their passionate love for their alma mater,” Jenkins said.

Phibin died of natural causes on July 24, just over a month before his 89th birthday.

He left in 2011. After a long television career involving conducting the syndicated morning show “Live!”. with Regis and Kathie Lee 1985-2000. – with Dormitory Kathie Lee Gifford – and Live! with Regis and Kelly – with Kelly Ripa – since 2001. until retirement.

He also hosted the game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
