CLEVELAND, Ohio is a game for Indians and twins on Friday night at Target Field.
Earlier in the day, both teams and the MLB spoke of a possible postponement of Friday’s start at 8:10 a.m., as two St. Louis cardinal players were positive about the coronavirus. The Cardinals played twins at Target Field on Wednesday, the day before the Indians arrived to play a four-game series in Minneapolis.
The Cardinals announced Friday morning that both players had a positive rating Wednesday while the team was in Minneapolis.
On Friday, just after 4.30pm, Indians and twins were released to play. The Indians will send Mike Clevinger to the mound to meet Minnesota’s Randy Dobnak.
The Indians were getting ready for the game because they didn’t leave the hotel until they heard they were really going to play. Visitors ’lockers also had to be re-disinfected.
Shane Bieber and James Karinchak tore the Indians to victory 2: 0 in their first match of the series on Thursday night.
This will be the second start of the Clevinger season.
