The remote photo of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 shows the hole flip screen



August 5 At the Galaxy Unpacked 2020, Samsung is set to unpack a host of new technologies. Among the five devices to be unveiled at the event is a bump in the next generation of Samsung’s first folding device. It seems to be called the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, and not just the Galaxy Fold 2, with a lot of excitement around the device as it is a step in the series. Samsung now had several folding options – with the first Galaxy Fold, then the “fixed” version, then the Galaxy Z Flip and the newer Galaxy Z Flip 5G. Now the leaked photo allows us to take an early look at the huge front of the Galaxy Z Fold 2.

This leaked photo of the Galaxy Z Fold 2 shows the internal screen of the phone, the one that actually folds along its central axis.

While there’s not much you can do with a brief look at this photo other than the new name on the boot dot screen, you may notice a hole-punching screen if you look closely. Here is an edited photo that better shows the hole:

As you can see now, the Galaxy Z Fold 2’s internal screen will feature a single-hole pierced front camera centered on the right side of the screen. The protective lip around the device is no longer pierced by the hole picker. This is a significant change from the front chambers in the first generation unit, which have a noticeably unique notch setup, as shown below:

Previous reports have suggested the possibility of using a Galaxy Z Fold 2 camera without a screen, but this does not seem to be the case. The new device is expected to have a 7.7 ″ internal screen, a larger external screen, plenty of RAM and memory, the latest processors, 5G capabilities and will continue to exclude the S Pen. We should find out more in the coming days.
